Updates to Come

It's 10:00 PM on Sunday, March 21, Taiwan time, and we're about to turn in. We had a nice today and are settled in to our new place, The Howard Plaza, and it is SWANKY! We really enjoyed Dong Wu for a few nights and would do it all over again, but The Howard is just plain sweet and a nice change of pace. We toured the nearby Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall and Taipei 101 this afternoon and evening. In the interest of time and because we need our sleep, we'll blog about those adventures later. Tomorrow's a big day!

We leave for Nantou County around 8:00 AM tomorrow morning to meet our children! We estimate it is about a 3-hour bus ride. So say a prayer for us before you go to sleep tomorrow night (er...tonight, Sunday night, since you're probably reading this on Sunday in the USA). We will of course be in touch soon to share our pictures and tales of meeting Pierson Yong-Sheng and Maylin Yu-Fong in person!

Love y'all!

Hope you wake up rested and peaceful, if that's possible. I wonder if M and P have any idea what is in store for them. Your mom loves you.

I've finally figured out the time difference! Around 8:00 Sunday night our time, you guys should be meeting your kids! We can't wait to see pics! Prayers are coming your way and some tears of happiness are being shed for you! We love you!

So now it is about 2:30 am for you and I have to wonder if my "sleep champ of the world" sister is able to hold her title, or if excitement is getting in the way of slumber. Just nine or so hours to go...
You guys are the buzz in my circle of friends right now, many who have never even met you are praying! And of course the M five (well, at least four of us, not sure Darcy understands the English yet, but she sure can relate to your kiddos) are talking about you non-stop and praying!
I love all four of you!

ps ~ Interesting that Dr. Sun Yat-Sen is recognized there too. You can probably compare the memorials in Guangzhou and Taipei to one another.

Wow- what great adventures you guys have been having. The pictures are beautiful! We won't expect you to write quite so much detail once you have TWO children to care for, but we sure are excited to see pictures! :) Have a GREAT day tomorrow!

I'm so excited for you two that I can hardly stand it. Such a short time until you meet your children in person. Woo hoo!!! I'll be praying that the ride there is quick (I suspect you won't remember much of it because of your excitement) and that your first moments with your children are wonderful. Congratulations ahead of time!

Oh my goodness. I definitely have thought and prayed for both of you today as I realized you would be meeting your two babies as I sleep.
Psalm 10:14,18 says that "God won't let them down: orphans won't be orphans forever...Orphans get parents." And I know 2 precious little babies are getting 2 awesome parents tonight who are going to love them so much!
I love you and am praying for you!

Hi Adam and Traci,

Congrats and happy travels. Good to see that you are finally getting to meet the kids and get on with making your new family. I know it has been a long trip. Aunt Bev and I are also praying for your safe travels and hope you get back soon. I was able to see the overseas call you posted some time ago and that was fun. Good to see these pics also. Hope to be able to see you all when we can schedule an eastern trip. Have fun.
