The Road to Ohio

It is a long long road, about 10 hours with little ones who need to stop to go potty. It usually is less terrible because we have fun to look forward to on the other side of the trip. But this time was different. This trip was quiet and somewhat somber.

The usual sights, smells, and sounds were just a blur in the back ground.
Big Walker Mountain Tunnel in West Virginia.

Capital building in Charleston WV... means we are almost 1/2 way there

the smoke stacks... I used to think these were cloud makers.

The sun setting on the farmlands of Ohio

A long day in the car... leading to a weekend of remembrance, morning and family.

We had a similar somber ride. The cornfields just didn't bring peace to my soul like they usually do...
